Financial Planning Horizons Privacy Policy

At Financial Planning Horizons your personal privacy is of paramount importance.  Financial Planning Horizons, it’s principals, and any of its employees or sub-contractors are all bound by this privacy statement. 

Under no circumstances will any person, or agent either employed or sub-contracted by Financial Planning Horizons share any non-public information involving its clients or its clients’ Information except as permitted by law, such as the electronic transmission of income taxes.    Information is defined as and includes, but is not limited to, any Client or Client family member’s name, address, phone number, social security number, non-public written information that may be provided by the client to Financial Planning Horizons for services performed for the Client. 

Services performed, and the fees collected by Financial Planning Horizons from and for its Clients whether in writing or not, if not public information, shall not be shared with anyone outside its employ unless the Client authorizes in advance the sharing of specific non-public Information.   Financial Planning Horizons may solicit you as a reference for the purposes of obtaining new business, and may share your name, address and/or phone number only after you have authorized it.

All written information prepared by Financial Planning Horizons in performance of its services to Client shall be for the express use of the Client only.  All Information provided by Client to Financial Planning Horizons shall remain with Financial Planning Horizons unless Client requests in writing that such Information be returned to Client, or properly disposed of.

Private Information that is disposed of by Financial Planning Horizons shall be disposed of in such a way that no third party will have access to Client’s name(s), addresses, phone numbers, social security or other identifying number, or any other information that can be used to identify the Client.

Employees and sub-contractors of Financial Planning Horizons are required to sign a confidentiality agreement, with no time limits, that restrict the sharing of any non-public Client Information.   Such employees and sub-contractors have restricted access to your personal and account information except for such Information that may be needed to provide the services to you.

Financial Planning Horizons may share certain of its non-public information with third parties provided no specific Client Information is shared.  For example:  Manufacturers of tax software products may solicit information from Financial Planning Horizons requesting “total taxes prepared”, “total number of out of state taxes prepared”, “number of taxes filed electronically”, etc.  These types of non-public information may be shared.  Financial Planning Horizons may, in the course of its business, use hypothetical examples of financial situations in order to express its knowledge and expertise in a specific financial field when speaking with or preparing written materials for a prospective or existing client.   Under no circumstances should any example used be construed as having been pertaining to you.

Should you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, Financial Planning Horizons will adhere to the privacy policy and practices described in this notice.  You can trust that all private information shall remain protected using the best means of physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply to Federal standards.
